You may have noticed from my blog and Instagram that I love
every photo ever artistic and meaningful photographs. Unfortunately, when you’re working with a small budget and things keep breaking on your car or your toddler goes through four packs of diapers in three weeks thanks to an intestinal bug, getting pictures printed for your home kinda takes a back burner. I’m thrilled to report that all of my frames (a Christmas gift from my sweet husband) are finally up on the living room walls, and as soon as our tax refund finishes taking it’s sweet time gets here, I will be ordering prints for all of them! #hallelujah #happydance
One photo that I have been dying to finally get off my computer and up on the wall is this one of Serenity with my husband’s grandmother. “GG Linda” visited us this past November for several weeks, and we had a wonderful time with her. Nick and I lived with her for most of the almost three years we were in Wyoming, and we miss her a lot, so it was wonderful getting to see her for an extended visit. We can’t wait for her to come back this fall!!
Anyway, I’ve been eagerly anticipating printing and framing this photo of Serenity and Grama Linda, so when Easy Canvas Prints contacted me, and offered to send me a complimentary 8×10 canvas of my favorite photo, I was absolutely thrilled, and knew instantly that I would choose this image for my free canvas.
As soon as it arrived, I just had to get it up on the wall right away. Partly because Serenity was convinced it was a book, and her rage that it wouldn’t open necessitated it’s immediate removal from baby-reach, but mostly because I was just so thrilled to finally hold this photograph in my hands, and be able to display it in my home! I love how it looks next to my custom wall calendar (more on that in another post) above my desk. (Oh, and see what I mean about empty picture frames? #lol)
One of the cool things about Easy Canvas Prints is that you can choose what kind of edging you want on your canvas. I chose the .75″ wrap in black, and I really like how it turned out. I was a little concerned that it would be too dark and heavy, but it actually looks really cool – it makes the photo visibly stand out from the wall, and it coordinates really well with my existing picture frames (which are all black). I also really like that Easy Canvas Prints regularly offer great discounts on their canvases, making it easier to indulge!
The only complaint/concern that I have with Easy Canvas Prints is that my photo came out darker than I expected it to, and while I still love my canvas, I do wish that it was as crisp and light as the original photograph.
I’m happy to announce that Easy Canvas Prints is offering one of my lovely readers the chance to win a free 8×10 canvas this month!
